Running to the Divine

Run the noise out of your mind

Running as a pathway to the Divine....a direct experience of the mystical source of life

There are several versions of and even names for the Lord's Prayer. Christian Protestants call it the Lord's Prayer, Christian Catholics call it the Our Father. Their versions are slightly different lengths. And of course, there is a modern version and an older one. I assume there are lots of versions in other languages and forms as well. These are the ones I know.

Modern Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen

Traditional Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Save us from temptation and deliver us from evil. For thine is the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen

Traditional Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Save us from temptation and deliver us from evil. Amen
